More Than Just “Eating Right”
Yes. “Detoxifying your lifestyle” means more than just making wiser, more nutritious (cleaner) food choices. It also means:
- Lessening the toxins you put onto your skin and into your body;
- Being more careful about what you use, and do, for entertainment and who you hang out with; and
- Exercising (even if it is walking for 30 minutes a day), and adding prayer and meditation and, perhaps, even chakra balancing and energy treatments.

Essential oils are all the rage but many companies teach unsafe, even potentially dangerous, methods of use. We teach how to use essential oils safely and effectively and teach you to make your own bespoke (customised) blends/products — or make them for you!
Holistic Self-Care
Have you noticed when you are sad or sick, your energy level is low as well? Yes. Your body may be telling you to rest, but if you are otherwise healthy if you raise your vibration/energy, you could feel better, too. Reiki, balancing chakras, meditation is a way to do this. We can help!
Holistic Pet & Animal care
Our pets are considered to be family members but we forget that, although we feed them, walk them, play with them, care for them and love them, they pick up on our stresses and well-being. This can add stress to them and make them ill. We offer Reiki and chakra balancing and healing for animals as well.

ABOUT OUR TEAM
INTRODUCING RUTH
Ruth is a self-professed “science geek” who needs an answer for everything and has made her own housecleaning and personal care products since approximately 1993 when she entered a reputable college 4-year Bioengineering programme and learned about all that many of the “Generally Recognised as Safe” ingredients in household and personal care products were suspected (and some now have been proven) to be instrumental in many diseases such as cancer, hormone and neurologic issues.
Ruth has studied Holistic Nutrition and Holistic Aromatherapy since 2010. Ruth is an Aromatherapy Specialist, a chakra aligner and a Reiki Master Practitioner. Ruth is most passionate about teaching essential oil safety and creating bespoke (personalised/customised) blends for clients

INTRODUCING WINNIE
Winnie was a dumpster kitty who was found at the bottom of an apartment dumpster by two city garbagemen one cold Friday in May 2013, when she was approximately 10 days old. They kept her alive during the day with milk from a local coffee shop until they could get her into the hands of a local rescue.
A few weeks later, she ‘adopted’ Ruth who was shopping for some treats for another kitty but Ruth went home without her — only to return the following day to bring her home where she instantly became the Guardian Angel to Ruth’s terminally ill husband.
After he moved onto the next world, Ruth and Winnie’s bond grew deeper and she now is an important part of the “My Health and Wellness Corner” team. You will see a lot of her, so she insisted on having her own introduction. 😀
