Before creating a blend:

  1. Smell each essential oil that you plan to use by holding the open bottle away from you and smelling the cap, or gently wafting the aroma toward your nose with your hand. Make sure to smell with both nostrils to trigger both sides of the brain;
  2. Notice the different layers of aromas of the one essential oil; do you like one more than the other?
  3. Where in your body do you feel it?
  4. How does it make you feel? Emotionally, Physically, Energetically;
  5. If you don’t like the smell but you like how your body or emotions react to it, set it aside to be used in a blend;
  6. Sometimes, essential oils can trigger trauma,

  • 2 drops Cedarwood (Cedarwood virginiana)
  • 2 drops Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia)
  • 1 drop Patchouli (Pogostemon cablin)
  • 1 drop Frankincense (Boswellia carterii)
